AI answers lean on sources outside your control. Digital PR is how you get into them.
Target the sources that are already cited
Use your citation audit from chapter 6. The publications, lists and directories that appear repeatedly for your prompts are your outreach list. A mention in one of them is worth more than ten in places no assistant reads.
Lead with evidence
Journalists and editors want something new. Original data, expert comment on timely news and useful tools earn coverage. Coverage that repeats a specific finding with your name attached is exactly what AI systems pick up.
Get the wording right
Make sure coverage describes you accurately and consistently with your own definition. Offer a short boilerplate. The words used about you elsewhere shape how assistants describe you.
Measure differently
Links still matter, but so do unlinked mentions in trusted sources. Track both. My article on Digital PR as machine-readable reputation covers why.
